Three Simple Ways To Grow Your Small Business

During this year’s National Small Business Week, your BBB wants to help celebrate all of the small, trustworthy businesses in Central Ohio. Our community is supported by a variety of enterprising, creative, and smart businesses that boom throughout our 21 county service area. We know that small businesses have their obstacles, especially with marketing challenges and the current economy, so it’s important for small businesses to quickly make themselves known! Here are some short facts and three simple ways to help grow your small business in 2016!

  1. Business Credit
One of the biggest problems when starting a business is creating a cash flow. Once the money runs out, it becomes harder and harder to keep your business going. Thankfully, there are places to go to help with this problem! Business Credit Workshop is a great place to start. This site has useful information for your business, in addition to other services that will help you acquire a loan when your business is just starting out or even beginning to grow. Credit can help businesses stay afloat for a longer period of time and can also be used to invest in order to promote growth.

2. Plan And Set Goals
Having a plan and a clear set of goals is vital. It’s necessary to know where you are going, and how you’re going to get there. It’s helpful to write down your exact plan and your goals for your business. This way, you have something to follow and can track how well you’re doing. Your plan and goals should work together, so you know where you want to be and how you are going to get there! Any large, successful business started with a plan.

3. Utilize Social Media
Businesses should build an online profile through social media platforms. Whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, potential customers and employees will be looking you up online. Once you have a social media presence, you can start gaining followers and reviews. Social media sites also allow you to personally stay in touch with your customers. Social media is a powerful tool that should not be left out of your marketing strategy.

Small Businesses create jobs, influence our community’s culture, and help to grow the economy. It’s easy to become discouraged in our fast paced world, but don’t lose motivation! Let consumers know what you do differently, work to reach your goals, and have a great Small Business Week!
